The remit was to design a veranda that was partially enclosed so as to provide a warm sheltered corner, while the rest of the area was to remain open.
The enclosed corner is about 16 square meters and has a made to measure glazed section on top of the side wall to block out the prevailing wind, plus a full height glass wall at the front, the remainder of the veranda is 18 square metres. I think we have achieved our goal of providing a cosy corner to kick back and relax and a large area to entertain friends and family.
