The PVB layer within our laminated safety glass roof is known to block 98% of harmful UV rays, however if your veranda is south facing or exposed to afternoon sunshine, you may wish to consider some shading for those hot summer days.
Sectional blinds are a great solution or alternatively a fully remote controlled under glass awning, both can be installed with the veranda or fitted at a later date.
Sectional blinds are a popular choice as they are operated individually so the entire area does not need to be shaded at the same time. They are extended and retracted with the use of a ‘wand’ and run on tracks which are powder coated to match the colour of your veranda. Alternatively a remote controlled Markilux awning is considered the gold standard. It can span up to six metres as a single unit, is operated at the touch of a button and provides full shade in just a few seconds. With hundreds of fabrics and colours to choose from, you are certain to find one that meets your requirements.
Vertical blinds provide shading when the sun is low in the sky, they also offer great weather protection and privacy.
The Zip screen fabric is held within side tracks so in windy conditions it doesn’t billow into the veranda. There are a choice of colours to compliment your veranda and you can choose to have them manufactured with or without a clear pvc window section. They are manually operated as standard or fully motorised with the addition of a Somfy motor and remote handset.
With years of experience and hundreds of satisfied customers we know we are good at what we do, but don’t just take our word for it, see what some of our customers say.
